Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking an experienced cultural resources analyst to provide consultation, permitting support, and coordination for projects with potential cultural resources impacts.

Responsibilities include due diligence investigations, archival research, surveys, and compliance with NHPA, USACE Appendix C, and SHPO guidelines, involving regulators, tribes, and consultants.

The role requires collaboration with internal teams, fieldwork, and occasional travel in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in history/archeology/anthropology.
• Five+ years leading cultural resources surveys.
• Experience coordinating with SHPO/USACE/FERC.
• Knowledge of NHPA Section 106 permitting.

Responsibilities

• Perform due diligence investigations and project planning.
• Oversee archaeological and historic investigations for feasibility.
• Coordinate with agencies and stakeholders to develop solutions.
• Review consultant bids, reports and ensure quality work.
