Job summary

The Yakama Nation Library is seeking a senior administrator to oversee daily operations, budgeting, and staff development. You will coordinate library services, grant research, and the integration of Plateau cultural materials into collections.

You will ensure security of equipment, manage access to computer resources, and work with tribal programs to support educational needs while maintaining cultural sensitivity in materials and outreach.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements: 2 years of library experience with 5+ years in a management role or equivalent education/experience.
• Must pass background checks and have valid WA driver’s license with Yakama permit.
• Enrolled Yakama Preference, but all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day library operations and supervision.
• Coordinate staff training and cross-training programs.
• Oversee inventory, budgeting, and purchasing using D365 and YN Central Accounting.
• Develop and write grants to support Library services and cultural materials.
• Ensure security and safety of library facilities and patrons.
