Job summary

Saatchi & Saatchi in El Segundo seeks an Associate for its Cultural Intelligence group, focusing on research and insights across culture, entertainment, design, sports and technology to surface signals relevant to Toyota.

You will handle assigned research, develop early insights, and contribute references and initial ideas to help agency teams craft culturally grounded concepts. Reporting to the Director, with collaboration across the Manager, this role blends curiosity with rigorous analysis.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in cultural research, insights, editorial, journalism, social listening, or related fields.
• Ability to evaluate sources, investigate a question and summarize findings clearly.
• Ability to connect signals across cultures to insights and opportunities.
• Ability to develop rough ideas and useful references for early concepts.
• Strong writing, organization and ability to manage multiple research requests.

Responsibilities

• Keep a close read on culture by monitoring emerging conversations and communities across platforms.
• Research and validate cultural signals using desk research, social listening and primary sources.
• Connect findings into early insights and summarize patterns for the Manager.
• Contribute references and first ideas to support creative development.
• Support creator and community discovery with context and source material.
• Maintain shared intelligence resources with clear trackers and archives.
• Help prepare outputs and capture learning from research work.
