Job summary

Saatchi US in El Segundo seeks a Senior Strategic Planner to lead synthesis of data and cultural truths, owning the creation of inspiring briefs and driving overarching strategy POVs. The candidate ideally has 5+ years of strategic/account planning experience.

You will partner with creative, account, media and data teams to translate insights into briefs that energize campaigns and influence culture, while mentoring junior planners and traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 5+ years of strategic/account planning experience.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to sell a point of view to senior leadership and clients.
• Experience leading the development of strategy and acting as a trusted partner to creative, account, and data teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to guide junior planners.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: distill complex data, deep research, and cultural observations into clear insights for the team.
• Creative Inspiration: translate business data and cultural insights into briefs for the creative teams.
• Cultural Authority: spot emerging trends and consumer behaviors and turn them into business opportunities.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: partner with creative, account, media and data teams to turn strategy into reality.
• Research Mastery: design, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative research.
• Presentation & Selling: build compelling presentations and sell strategic viewpoints to senior leadership and clients.
• Mentorship: guide junior planners and shape the department culture.
• Travel: willing to travel as projects require it.
