Job summary

Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska is seeking a Cultural Family Support Worker to provide culturally grounded supportive services to children, adults and families involved in protective services. The role focuses on strengthening parenting skills and parent-child relationships through regular home visits and culturally informed practices.

Under supervision of the Child & Family Case Leads, you will coordinate family team meetings, make referrals to community resources, and document progress while

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or three years of accredited college coursework with two years of experience in child or youth care, teaching, foster care, delinquency prevention, juvenile court systems, or related fields.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Public speaking and the ability to work with families and youth.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and keyboarding skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide culturally relevant supportive services to children, adults, and families involved in protective services.
• Strengthen parents’ skills and parent-child relationships through regular home visits.
• Coordinate and lead family team meetings and referrals to other service providers.
• Develop and implement cultural plans to promote healing, wellness, and rehabilitation.
• Maintain confidentiality and document client progress and service activity.
