Job summary

Guardian Light Family Services in Nebraska is seeking Family Support Workers to assist families in building a safe, nurturing home environment. You will work directly with biological parents and children, teaching skills and supporting positive change.

A valid vehicle is required to transport children to supervised visits; you will have flexibility and a supportive supervisor. The role includes weekly and monthly trainings and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Must have own reliable vehicle to travel/transport up to 3-4 kids frequently.
• 2+ years of experience working with people to help facilitate change or a bachelor’s in the human services field.
• Timeliness and streamlined communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Family Support Workers work directly with biological parents/caregivers and their children to teach skills to work towards and keep a safe thriving home environment.
• Transport children to supervised visits with their parents.
• Participate in weekly meetings and training with your supervisor, and monthly meetings with the agency, plus ongoing outside training.
