Job summary

Glacharter seeks a Cultural Arts Teacher to provide direct instruction and develop lesson plans supporting student growth. The role emphasizes strong communication, collaboration with families, and maintaining accurate records to track progress.

You will ensure instruction meets diverse student needs, administer assessments, and engage in ongoing professional development to uphold instructional quality and compliance with school policies.

Qualifications

• Education Certification preferred.
• Bachelor's degree and preferably a Master's degree in the human services field.
• Ability and willingness to work an extended schedule.
• Proven ability to work well with children, adults and parents.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze raw data and develop goals for students.
• Experience working with a diverse population including low to moderate-income families.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties.

Responsibilities

• Work with students in small groups and large groups.
• Collaborates daily in regards to student progress.
• Acts as a resource person to teachers, scholars and parents.
• Consults with school administrators, parents and other interested parties in the development and implementation of individual scholar plans.
• Attend professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops in order to maintain and improve professional competence.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Identifying the educational needs of scholars and altering instruction to meet student needs.
• Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
• Teach socially acceptable behavior, employing techniques such as behavior modification and positive reinforcement.
• Employ strategies and techniques during instruction to improve the development of sensory- and perceptual-motor skills, language, cognition, and memory.
• Meet with parents and guardians to discuss their children's progress, and to determine their priorities for their children.
• Administer standardized ability and achievement tests, and interpret results to determine students' strengths and areas of need.
