Job summary

The Cultural Activities Coordinator Intern will assist with planning and coordinating cultural and religious programming for inmates at Jameson Prison Annex in Sioux Falls, SD. Under supervision, you will gain hands-on experience in correctional management practices and program operations.

This internship requires current enrollment as a part-time or full-time student, preferably a junior or senior from a South Dakota college or university.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled as a part-time or full-time student at a college, university or technical institute.
• By start of internship, 1 year (nine months) of program completed.
• Background check and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and coordinating cultural and religious programming for inmates.
• Provide support with routine operational tasks in a correctional environment.
• Support administrative tasks related to program operations.
• Assist with gathering information for investigations under supervision.
