Job summary

GH Group, Inc. is seeking a greenhouse supervisor to oversee all cultivation tasks, coordinate staff, and ensure efficient operation in a high-humidity environment. The role requires strong organizational and data reporting skills, with attention to plant labeling, waste tracking, and compliance with safety regulations.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a greenhouse setting, be comfortable with daily administration, and be available for weekend work and on-call emergencies.

Job description

Position Summary

This position is responsible for supervising and completing all jobs requested from the
Cultivation area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following

• Responsible for supervising and completing all tasks requested.
  
• Coordinate activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing employee work
  
• Determine the number of workers necessary to perform the required work, and schedule activities.
  
• Prepare all necessary materials in advance to complete weekly jobs and work closely with the maintenance department if all machinery equipment is working properly.
  
• Report back to growing team for any quality issues found on daily observations.
  
• Work with all teams to improve work efficiency and quality to reduce costs.
  
• Create maps of what is planted and deliver the information to the corresponding people so that they can be transferred to the METRC system
  
• Make sure that all plants are correctly labeled with variety and harvest number
  
• Ensure that all green waste is weighed correctly and recorded in Trellis software.
  
• Track employee time on time clock system.
  
• Must have aptitude to carry out administrative tasks such as reports, etc.
  
• Use required PPE according to OSHA regulations
  
• Coordinate plant transfers to cultivation departments with logistic department.
  
• Create a safe work environment to avoid injuries to employees. Report any accident and incident reports to safety and HR departments.

• Education and/or Experience
  
• At least 1-2 years of experience in a greenhouse environment
  
• At least 2-3-years’ experience in a supervisory role

• Must be 21+ years old.

• Ability to efficiently collect and report data.
  
• Capable of effectively utilizing employee strengths to complete daily and weekly tasks.
  
• Must be detail-oriented with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  
• Requires prioritization and multi-tasking.
  
• Able to direct employees, assess the amount of work that needs to be done daily and create a daily schedule for employees.
  
• Must be extremely flexible in the case of upper management decisions, and able to change plans on the fly. Must be computer literate (Microsoft Office)
  
• Must be a self-start work independently and direct team.
  
• This position requires a 40-hour minimum work week.
  
• Willingness to work weekends and be on call for emergencies.
  
• Ability to work in conditions typically found in a greenhouse with high humidity and
  varying temperatures, with a fair amount of moisture present.
