Job summary

Sulphur Veterans Home, operated by the Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs, seeks an Assistant Culinary Manager for full-time work. You will supervise kitchen staff, plan menus, and ensure diet accuracy and sanitation in a state facility.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in a commercial or institutional food service.
• One year of vocational or technical school training in food preparation may substitute for experience.
• Must possess adequate English language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prepares foods, salads, and desserts; cooks or bakes a variety of items.
• Cleans and prepares foods using knives, slicers, peelers and kitchen equipment.
• Operates dishwasher and cleans kitchen, dining, and storage areas.
• Labels, loads and delivers food carts or trays and manages tray pickup.
• Performs other related duties consistent with job responsibilities and agency operations.
