Proof of the Pudding in Grand Prairie, TX, is seeking an experienced Culinary Supervisor to lead back-of-house operations for Gil's events and daily prep. The role supports the Executive Chef as a leadership point person for the culinary and POP teams.

This full-time position leads daily prep, food production, and event execution, overseeing staff and inventory to ensure on-time service. Competitive hourly pay reflects 25–29 USD per hour, with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 2+ years of lead culinary experience in catering or high-volume settings.
  • Experience in a stadium setting is preferred.
  • Ability to produce menu items consistently and in high volume.
  • Leadership qualities with a focus on team development.
  • ServSafe certified or available to receive training.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the oversight of day-to-day culinary operations for Gil's events as scheduled.
  • Assist with the coordinating of food and kitchenware orders.
  • Assist with inventory and organization of storage areas and oversee checking in and putting away food orders.
  • Assist in the development of menu items and game-day packages.
  • Be an onsite supervisor during food service times.
  • Managing time effectively to ensure all BEO/menu items are completed prior to service times and according to recipe guidelines.
  • Managing the team that is scheduled in the kitchen or pantry areas.
  • Assist with on-the-job training of new employees ensuring all staff are set up for success.
  • Attending and executing each assigned event to ensure that it runs smoothly from the set-up to the break-down.
  • Assisting in post-event tasks including inputting payroll and inventory as directed.

Join our reputable culinary team as a Culinary Supervisor! We are seeking an experienced culinary supervisor to join the team at Gil's at Proof- Dallas. The Culinary Supervisor will assist the Executive Chef as a point person of leadership to the culinary and POP team.

We are seeking an experienced Culinary Supervisor to join the team. This position will be a lead in the back of house overseeing daily prep work, food production, and event execution.

Essential duties and responsibilities
  • Assist in the oversight of day-to-day culinary operations for Gil's events as scheduled.

  • Assist with inventory and organization of storage areas and oversee checking in and putting away food orders.
  • Assist in the development of menu items and game-day packages.

Qualifications Education and/or Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in a lead culinary role with experience in catering or high volume.

  • Leadership qualities with a focus on team development
  • ServSafe certified or is available to receive training.

Work Environment

The work environment for this position will work out of and report to the Georgia International Convention Center. Events may be indoors, outdoors, or in temporary structures. This position will be in and out of kitchen spaces utilizing typical kitchen equipment including ovens, stovetops, tilt skillets, knives, griddles, freezers, etc.

Physical Demands
  • Prolonged periods of moving through an event space, and traveling throughout kitchens
  • Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items
  • Must be able to lift up-to 30 pounds at times.
