Job summary

Coury Hospitality seeks a Culinary Supervisor for the dual-brand campus of Hotel Citrine Palo Alto and AC Hotel Palo Alto. This hands-on leadership role guides a high-volume kitchen, supporting both Marriott brands with a focus on quality, consistency, and guest satisfaction.

Lead a talented culinary team, ensure food safety and efficient operations, and collaborate with the Executive Chef on daily production and events. This role offers growth within a dynamic Palo Alto hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Hands-on leader with prior kitchen supervision experience in high-volume settings.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily kitchen operations to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation.
• Lead by example while working alongside cooks during service periods.
• Support the Executive Chef and culinary leadership with production, staffing, and priorities.
• Train, coach, and mentor culinary team on recipes, techniques, and quality standards.
• Monitor adherence to recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications.
• Ensure proper food handling, storage, labeling, rotation, temperature controls, and sanitation.
• Assist with inventory management, product receiving, and waste reduction initiatives.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout kitchen and storage areas.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and guest satisfaction.
• Foster a positive, collaborative culture focused on accountability and teamwork.
