Job summary

The United States Army Reserve is seeking a part-time Culinary Specialist to provide restaurant-quality meals for Soldiers during training and deployments.

You will cook, portion, and serve meals in field and home station settings, order and inspect food supplies, and maintain a safe, sanitary kitchen environment. Training includes Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training, with instruction at Fort Gregg-Adams, VA.

Qualifications

• Be between the ages of 17– 40.
• Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Possess a High School Diploma or GED.
• Submit to background and medical screening
• Receive a passing score on the ASVAB

Responsibilities

• Bake, fry, braise, boil, simmer, steam, and sauté as prescribed by Army recipes.
• Operate, maintain, and clean field kitchen equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on garrison and field kitchen equipment.
