Job summary

Sagewynn on Lake Lorraine seeks a Cook to join our assisted living team. The role focuses on preparing cold foods, bakery and salad items, with shifts available for full-time or part-time hours.

The wage starts at $18 per hour and encourages a team environment within a caring community. Responsibilities include following menus, ensuring food safety standards, and assisting with meal preparation for special events.

Qualifications

• Be able to make independent decisions and follow instructions.
• Deal tactfully with residents, staff and families.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitary practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals following menus and recipes.
• Inspect diet trays for correct diets and portion control.
• Prepare cold items, bakery and salad items.
• Cook hot foods as directed and follow food safety procedures.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas.
• Assist with inventory and replenishment of food and supplies.
