Job summary

Forefront is seeking a Lead Culinary Services Aide to support and lead daily hospital dining operations, delivering high-quality meals and service to residents and patients.

You will mentor fellow aides, collaborate with the Culinary Services leadership, and drive improvements in quality, presentation, and efficiency within a dynamic healthcare dining program. Flexibility for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospital or healthcare dining environment preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support daily food service operations in a hospital setting
• Assist in training and mentoring other Culinary Services Aides
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a welcoming dining atmosphere
• Collaborate with the Director of Culinary Services and Lead Cook
• Drive improvements in the retail dining program with focus on quality, innovation, and presentation
• Perform defined work routines using dietary utensils, supplies and equipment
• Assist in meal preparation and service
• Follow cleaning schedules and perform duties as scheduled
• Assist in arranging trays, loading food carts, and serving meals
• Set up dining room and serve residents/patients
• Wash and store dishes
• Report supply and equipment needs
• Receive and store food and supplies
• Attend in-service educational programs
• Follow safety and infection control procedures
• Know facility policies and HIPAA/ethics expectations
• Attend department meetings
• Demonstrate accountability for professional growth and certifications
• Complete mandatory training and competencies
• Adhere to all policies for the assigned work account
