Job summary

Forefront is seeking a Culinary Services Aide to perform routine dietary tasks, assist the cook, and maintain dining room service for residents. The role emphasizes safety, infection control, and adherence to applicable regulations within the culinary department.

Responsibilities include meal setup, tray arrangement, dish washing, supply receiving, and participation in training and department meetings as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform defined work routines using dietary utensils and equipment as assigned by the Chef Manager/Culinary Director.
• Provide assistance to the cook in the preparation and service of meals.
• Follow Federal and State regulations and Culinary Services Department policies and procedures.
• Follow cleaning schedules and perform cleaning duties as scheduled; assist in arranging trays and serving meals.
• Set up the dining room and serve residents; wash and store dishes.
• Follow reporting procedures for all supply and equipment needs.
• Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies.
• Attend in-service educational programs.
• Follow defined safety codes while performing all duties; follow Infection Control procedures.
• Understand the facility's fire and disaster plans; follow procedures during drills and emergencies.
• Be knowledgeable of Federal, State, and Facility rules, regulations, policies and procedures applicable to the job.
• Perform other department duties as directed by the Chef Manager/Culinary Director or designee.
• Act in conformance with facility policies including HIPAA, ethics and safety regulations.
• Attend department meetings as required; demonstrate accountability for personal/professional growth and required certifications.
• Complete mandatory training and competencies annually.
