Job summary

UW Health in Madison is seeking a Culinary Services Lead for our Culinary Retail Assistants. The ideal person will be a critical thinker who can problem solve on the spot, delegate tasks to team members, and manage workflows while coaching staff with varied learning styles.

The role supports exemplary customer service for patients and visitors, enforces food safety guidelines, trains new staff, and leads the department.

Qualifications

• No minimum education required.
• Associate's Degree in Culinary, Hospitality, or Nutrition preferred.
• 3 years food service, hospitality, or customer service experience required.
• 6 months leadership experience preferred.
• ServSafe Certification within 180 days required.

• Follow all UW Health guidelines and policies regarding food safety and sanitation.
• Train and orient new staff members.

Work Schedule: 100% FTE, day shift. Shift start times range from 5:00AM – 6:00AM. Every other weekend required. Hours may vary based on the needs of the department.
