Job summary

UW Health is seeking a Clinical Nutrition Assistant at University Hospital in Madison, WI. You will assist patients in planning healthy meals in compliance with their dietary needs and provide high-level customer service.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Associate's Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field preferred.
  • 1 year of administrative, customer service, nutrition or food experience required.
  • 1 year of nutrition-related experience in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients in planning healthy meals according to diet orders.
  • Provide customer service by taking meal requests in person and over the phone.
  • Process electronic nutrition orders through food service software.

Work Schedule

100% FTE, Days. Hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday. Includes a weekend rotation once a month. You will work at the University Hospital in Madison, WI.

Clinical Nutrition Assistant Responsibilities
  • Assist patients in planning a healthy meal in compliance with their diet order and food allergies.
  • Provide a high level of customer service by taking patient's meal requests in person and over the phone.
  • Process electronic nutrition orders by transferring information from the patient's medical record into our food service software.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Required

Work Experience
  • 1 year of administrative, customer service, nutrition or food experience Required
  • 1 year of nutrition-related experience (patient interviews, meal planning, diet clerk, call center) in a hospital setting Preferred
