Job summary

Vitality Living in Elizabethtown, KY seeks a Culinary Services Director to lead a passionate culinary team and oversee daily dining operations for residents and guests. You will ensure exceptional food quality, nutrition, and dining experiences while maintaining regulatory compliance.

The role requires 2–3 years of Director experience in healthcare dining, ServSafe certification, and strong leadership and budgeting skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; culinary certificate or degree preferred.
• 2–3 years of Culinary Director experience in assisted living, memory care, or a comparable healthcare setting.
• Current ServSafe certification and valid driver’s license required.
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and applicable health regulations.
• A passion for serving older adults and their families, with a commitment to resident satisfaction and high‑quality dining.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily culinary and dining operations, ensuring exceptional service and resident satisfaction.
• Lead food purchasing, inventory management, vendor relationships, and budget controls.
• Ensure meals are nutritious, appetizing, and properly portioned to residents’ dietary needs.
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, temperature control, equipment maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare meals and provide hands-on kitchen leadership while maintaining attractive, clean dining spaces.
• Engage with residents, families, and team members; lead monthly food committee meetings and act on feedback.
• Supervise, train, recognize, and develop culinary team members, promoting teamwork and safety.
• Support community events, leadership initiatives, and other operational needs.
