Job summary

The Waterford at Carpenter's Creek in Pensacola, FL is seeking a full-time Culinary Services Cook to join our assisted living dining team. You will plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals with attention to safety and sanitation, while supporting the Dining Services Director in maintaining an efficient operation.

You'll work on a range of recipes for residents, ensure meal service standards, and help uphold a welcoming dining room and kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
• Experience with volume meal preparation for large groups.
• Some supervisory experience preferred; ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team, flexible shifts, multitask, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner.
• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining a well-organized and efficient Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains standards for dining services to Residents including meal service delivery, customer service and cleanliness.
• Cleans after preparation and service; maintains work area, pots and equipment.
• Ensures leftovers are covered, labeled, dated and stored properly.

Culinary Services CookResponsibilities include:

• Some supervisory experience preferred. Ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, handle multiple tasks at one time and communicate effectively verbally and/or in writing
