Job summary

Summit Place & Summit Court, a Sonida Senior Living community in Anderson, SC, is seeking a Culinary Services Cook to plan, prep, and serve nutritious meals for residents while maintaining high dining standards.

You will assist the Culinary Services Director, ensure efficient dining operations, and uphold food safety and cleanliness in the dining room and kitchen. We offer competitive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
• Experience in volume meal preparation and serving for large groups.
• Some supervisory experience preferred; ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team, work flexible shifts, handle multiple tasks, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner.
• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining a well-organized and efficient Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains standards for dining services to Residents including efficient meal service, customer service, and cleanliness of dining room and kitchen.
• Cleans after preparation and service; cleans work areas, pots and equipment.
• Ensures leftovers are covered, labeled, dated and stored correctly.

Culinary Services CookResponsibilities include:

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must possess Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
• High Experience and/or knowledge of volume meal preparation and serving for large groups.
• Some supervisory experience preferred. Ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, handle multiple tasks at one time and communicate effectively verbally and/or in writing
