Job summary

H-E-B is seeking a Culinary Selling Lead to drive in-store cooking experiences and local recipe development in the Cooking Connection kitchen. You will engage customers, showcase beverages and techniques, and lead Partners while coordinating inventory and events to boost sales.

Responsibilities include training teams, planning daily goals, maintaining safety standards, and building customer relationships through demonstrations and classes tailored to local tastes.

Qualifications

• Age 21+ with 3+ years of food/cooking experience or professional cooking in sales/demo.
• Advanced knowledge of H-E-B systems: scheduling, recipe authoring, inventory, display planning.
• Strong customer service, communication, merchandising, leadership and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Lead selling activation events in the Cooking Connection kitchen.
• Develop local recipes for the customer base and advise on pairings.
• Train and develop Partners; supervise inventory and help with staffing decisions.
• Back-up to Department Manager; ensure coverage and store goals.
• Create experiences for customers with demonstrations, classes, and cross-merchandising.
• Maintain 5-S standards, food safety compliance, and clean, safe work areas.
• Plan merchandising displays; ensure plan-o-gram integrity and signage updates.
• Build relationships with customers through hospitality and personalized recommendations.
