Job summary

Cazenovia Recovery Systems, Inc. is seeking a Culinary and Program Specialist to prepare and monitor the program’s food service plan, ensure safe protocols, and supervise resident use of kitchen facilities.

The role includes group training on kitchen safety and related Adult Living Skills, and maintaining inventory for food items and supplies. The specialist will work with the Director of Kitchen Operations and Nutritionist to ensure residents’ dietary needs are met, inspect kitchens daily, and

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in settings comparable to residential treatment programs.
• Maintain NY Driver’s license and reliable automobile.
• ServSafe certification or certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares meals according to four-week cycle menu and applicable safety codes.
• Maintain inventory of program supplies and food service items.
• Order all food service supplies and ensure sanitation and safety forms are up to date.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and use of PPE as required.
• Collaborate with Director of Kitchen Operations and Nutritionist to meet residents’ dietary needs.
• Conduct daily kitchen inspections and document safety and sanitation checks.
• Monitor temperatures of all food service equipment and report concerns.
• Instruct residents on kitchen basics and food safety; supervise their application.
• Maintain compliance with health department standards and facility policies.
