Job summary

Homes for the Homeless (HFH) invites a passionate Culinary Program Coordinator to join the Families with Children facility in Soundview, Bronx. You will build employer partnerships with local restaurants, hotels, and catering firms to create employment pathways, coordinate community engagement, and support program logistics for open houses, graduations, workshops and events.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree, knowledge of food service trends, experience in workforce development or job

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Knowledge of food service and hospitality industry trends.
• Experience in workforce development, career counseling, recruiting, or job placement; hospitality or culinary experience a plus.
• Strong relationship building and networking skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain partnerships with local restaurants, hotels, catering companies, and food-service employers.
• Conduct outreach to hospitality businesses to connect employers with program leadership.
• Coordinate with community organizations to support offsites and outreach.
• Represent the Culinary Program at community events, job fairs, and networking opportunities.
• Collaborate with culinary instructors to align training with industry needs.
• Coordinate logistics for open houses, graduations, workshops, and special events.
• Manage student check-in and onsite coordination during cohorts.
• Monitor industry trends to inform outreach and job placement strategies.
• Maintain records of employer partnerships and program activities.
