Job summary

Cazenovia Recovery Systems is seeking a Culinary and Program Specialist to prepare meals, monitor program food service, and ensure safe kitchen operations. You will train residents in kitchen safety and adult living skills while maintaining inventory and compliance with health codes.

The role requires ServSafe certification (or within 6 months) and a NY driver's license, with eligibility for full-time, daytime hours in a residential setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years experience in settings similar to residential treatment programs.
• Must possess valid NY Driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• ServSafe certification required or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor weekly cycle menu and safe food handling per regulations.
• Maintain inventory of food supplies and kitchen equipment.
• Ensure OSHA safety standards and proper PPE usage.
• Train residents on kitchen safety and related skills.
• Collaborate with Kitchen Operations Director and Nutritionist on dietary needs.
• Conduct daily kitchen inspections and document sanitation forms.
• Adjust stock and order supplies; manage SNAP and related records.
• Oversee Garden Tower use and pest management reporting.
• Maintain dining areas and assist with room turnover as needed.
• Attend to pest and vendor coordination with Program Manager.
