Job summary

Community Psychiatric Institute in East Orange, NJ is seeking a full-time Kitchen Food Service Specialist to manage meal preparation in our adult Partial Care Program. Responsibilities include daily food prep, cooking, and serving meals to approximately 140 individuals daily while maintaining high sanitation standards.

The candidate should have a valid driver's license, 5 years of food service experience, and a passion for food in a supportive community environment.

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey Driver's license for at least 5 years with good driving record.
• 5 years Kitchen/Cooking/Food service experience.
• Knowledge of Child Nutrition Program (CACFP) and food safety regulations a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly meal planning under CACFP guidelines.
• Prepare, cook, and serve nutritious breakfast and lunch for 140 individuals daily.
• Maintain and uphold standards of sanitation and safety for food prep.
