Job summary

Caesars Entertainment’s Flamingo Las Vegas is seeking a Cook’s Helper to assist the kitchen team in preparing recipes and food items per the Executive Chef’s requirements. This on-site role demands reliability and teamwork in a fast-paced resort setting.

You will perform prep work, operate grill, fryer, broiler and ovens, maintain ingredient levels, and ensure areas are clean and safe. Must supply your own knives and tools and be able to work any day or shift.

Qualifications

• Work requires effective communication in English, both verbal and written form in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, sauté, broiled, fried, baked and grilled food items in accordance to kitchen needs.
• Assist with preparation work; cutting, slicing, dicing, etc.
• Operate grill, fryer, broiler, oven and French top as required by kitchen needs.
• Perform preliminary preparation work in a timely manner.
• Ensure ingredient supply levels are accurate.
• Move items from shelves to carts and transport to assigned stations for restocking.
• Maintain the required par of food items in their assigned station from support areas throughout the property.
• Understand proper safety and health codes and regulations and maintain them regularly.
• Ensure all areas assigned are clean and free of debris.
• Assist with any other job related duties as needed.
