Job summary

Milwaukee Repertory Theater is seeking a Kitchen Manager responsible for all food production including dinner service, catering, and concessions. You will develop menus with the Director of Food and Beverage, help with purchasing specifications, and maintain quality and sanitation standards while leading kitchen staff.

The role requires strong communication, high energy, and the ability to manage labor costs, safety, and training.

Qualifications

• ServSafe Manager sanitation certification or ability to obtain within 45 days.

Responsibilities

• Hire, supervise and train kitchen staff; provide ongoing feedback for quality and productivity.
• Assist in menu planning for restaurant, catering, concessions, and special events.
• Schedule kitchen staff to meet budgeted labor costs and ensure economical food prep.
• Approve requisitions and orders for food supplies as needed.
• Maintain high sanitation, cleanliness and safety standards across kitchen areas.
