Job summary

Bon Appetit Management Company, a Compass Group USA affiliate, seeks an Operations Manager to assist the RVP in planning, evaluating, and reporting departmental operations. The role includes liaison work with customers and cross-department coordination.

Responsibilities cover oversight of labor and materials costs, development of short- and long-term goals, and supervision of 80+ employees within a dynamic university setting, including travel to Sunnyvale and Fremont areas.

Qualifications

• Minimum four-year college degree.
• Five to ten years progressive POM management & leadership experience with cost containment in a large complex organization.
• Experience in College/University Facility management.
• Strong management, planning, and communications skills with ability to see inter-unit connections.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and public speaking abilities.
• Ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for departmental functions including planning, directing, and evaluating operations.
• Provide fiscal oversight and financial reporting to RVP; seek cost-saving opportunities.
• Supervise unit staff and manage department objectives.
• Assist in strategic planning and program administration.
• Coordinate activities across departments to avoid conflicts; report to management.
