Job summary

The Joule Dallas is seeking a Cook to prepare items for Restaurants, Room Service, Employee Cafeteria and Banquets, upholding high standards and minimizing waste. You will ensure cleanliness, safety, and efficient service in a historic landmark kitchen.

Responsibilities include pre-service prep, buffet display, proper storage, and supporting various kitchen stations as needed by supervision. Physical stamina and hotel experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Culinary experience required.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Medium work with lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.
• Able to withstand temperature variations hot and cold.
• Knowledge of menus and hotel standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas.
• Prepare and set up food and stations before opening.
• Prepare buffet items according to hotel standards.
• Recognize quality standards in fresh ingredients.
• Maintain sanitary kitchen environment and proper handling of food.
• Assist in Banquets and Employee Cafeteria as needed.
• Follow all health department and hotel regulations.
