Wegmans in New York is launching an entry-level structured training program designed to place you as a Lead Cook in our Restaurant Foods Kitchen after 6 months of mentorship. The program develops culinary skills, leadership, and product knowledge in a fast-paced environment.

Successful completion leads to placement as Lead Cook with comprehensive benefits and opportunities across Wegmans’ store network in the region.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience as a prep or line cook.
• Food safety and quality assurance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Sous Chef in running the kitchen and managing employees.
• Follow recipes and proper cooking techniques to uphold high standards.
• Educate customers and employees on products and meal solutions.
• Manage employee performance by providing resources, training and feedback.
• Note: candidates may be considered for multiple store locations within the region.
