Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older at time of employment.
• Culinary arts degree preferred; extensive culinary experience may substitute.
• 1–2 years of progressively responsible kitchen management experience.
• Valid Food Manager Certification.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Passion for community engagement and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and retail systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing culinary team to meet business needs.
• Lead, coach, and inspire associates to exceed performance expectations and maintain a positive culture.
• Provide coaching and feedback to elevate performance and engagement; report issues to leadership.
• Represent Sur La Table brand by creating memorable, educational customer experiences and driving loyalty.
• Ensure outstanding cooking class experiences, following recipes and plans with accountability for quality.
• Work with store leadership to increase foot traffic and engagement through classes and events.
• Foster a Guest Obsessed culture on the kitchen and sales floor.
