Job summary

Cherokee Town & Country Club is offering a Culinary Intern program at the Pool Snack Bar, seeking entrants passionate about delivering superior experiences for members and guests.

Interns will prep, maintain freshness, and uphold a clean work station under the supervision of the Pool Snack Bar Culinary Supervisor. English communication and sanitation knowledge are essential; ServSafe is preferred, with 1 year of restaurant experience and quick service exposure valued.

Qualifications

• Completing a college education in a culinary field.
• ServSafe certification is preferred.
• 1 year of prior restaurant experience is preferred.
• Experience in quick food service is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food as ordered while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Coordinate with the snack bar front of house staff to ensure that food orders are properly prepared and delivered in a timely manner.
• Keep your work area and equipment clean, including cleaning pots and pans, wiping down kitchen work stations, emptying and cleaning waste receptacles, and sweeping and mopping floors.

Job Summary:

This individual will work under the supervision of the Pool Snack Bar Culinary Supervisor. Our Culinary Interns are responsible for working the Pool Snack Bar line as well as prepping, ensuring product freshness, and maintaining a clean work station.

• Prepare food as ordered while maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Requirements

• Able to understand and communicate in English.
• Sound understanding of sanitation practices.

Education and Experience required:

• Completing a college education in a culinary field.
• ServSafe certification is preferred.
• 1 year of prior restaurant experience is preferred.
• Experience in quick food service is preferred.
