Job summary

Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis is seeking a Culinary Extern to support daily kitchen operations in a luxury hospitality environment. You will learn professional kitchen standards, food preparation techniques, and the importance of teamwork under culinary leadership.

Externship period is approximately 6 months. Must have a strong interest in culinary arts, basic English, and a positive work ethic to thrive in a fast-paced setting with award-winning chefs.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in culinary arts and hospitality.
• Culinary school enrollment or recent graduation is an advantage.
• Willingness to learn, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work well in a team‑oriented, fast‑paced environment.
• Basic English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs with basic food preparation and daily kitchen tasks.
• Support mise en place and ensure ingredients are prepared according to standards.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and hygiene in all work areas.
• Follow standard recipes and assist with plating and presentation.
• Adhere to HACCP, hygiene, and safety procedures at all times.
• Support different kitchen sections and assist during events and service periods.
