Job summary

Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis seeks an Engineer to diagnose, repair and maintain hotel, residence and all mechanical systems. You will perform preventative maintenance, respond to inquiries, and ensure safety and guest comfort.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years in a related position, preferably in hotels.
• Working knowledge of general building maintenance; able to operate computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Implement and handle preventative maintenance of all equipment and update logs.
• Perform preventive maintenance of guest rooms, residence, public areas, meeting rooms and outlets.
• Diagnose and repair equipment including motors, starters and breakers throughout the building.
• Comply with Four Seasons’ Work Rules and Standards of Conduct.
• Collaborate professionally with teammates and supervisors.
• Respond to maintenance service requests in a timely manner and address emergencies.
• Maintain organized workspace and equipment spaces.
• Install or relocate equipment and assist with energy conservation programs.
• Install electrical and mechanical systems for renovations and set ups.

About the role

Basic Purpose:Engineers diagnose and provide service, repairs and preventative maintenance to hotel, residence and all mechanical equipment including electrical, plumbing, steam, gas, fire & safety, HVAC refrigeration, interior, paint and decorating, and respond to inquiries and problems in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner to achieve maximum customer satisfaction while complying with all Four Seasons’ policies.

What you will do

• Implement and handle preventative maintenance of all equipment and updateappropriate logs.
• Perform preventive maintenance of all guest rooms,residence, public areas, meeting rooms,ballroomsand all other outlets serving the hotel.
• Diagnose and handle all repairs of equipment including motors, starters, breakers, and associated equipment throughout the entire building.
• Comply withFourSeasons’Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct asset forth inEmPact.
• Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
• Respond to service requestsregardingmaintenance of rooms and equipment in guest rooms or publicareain a timely manner.
• Respond to all emergency conditions such as fires, power failures, etc.
• Maintainan organizedworkspace, department, and equipment spaces.
• Install orrelocateanyadditionalequipment or existing equipment when necessary.
• Assistwith energy conservation programs in the hotel.
• Install electrical and mechanical systems for renovations, outlet additions and associated equipment and provide electrical set ups for exhibits including maintenance of those set-ups.

What you bring

• High school education or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in a related position, preferably within hotels
• Working technical knowledge of general building maintenance
• Ability to operate computer equipment and systems
• Strong English communication skills
