Civitas Senior Living is seeking a Chef Manager / Director of Food and Beverage to lead culinary operations for our senior living communities in Burleson, TX. You will supervise culinary staff, maintain high standards of safety and quality, and manage budgets and menus in collaboration with residents and teams.

The role emphasizes compassionate dining experiences, regulatory compliance, and ongoing staff development within a supportive, community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience in culinary leadership preferred.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience in food service management.
• Knowledge of DHSR Dietary regulations and state Food Service Orientation Manual completion.
• Empathy and genuine desire to elevate senior dining experiences.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and guide all food and beverage employees to foster a strong team.
• Ensure equipment maintenance, cleanliness, safety, and hygiene compliance.
• Strategically manage food costs, budgeting, and inventory control.
• Interview, hire, orient, and train staff for continuous development.
• Schedule staff and track attendance to maintain optimal coverage.
• Enforce policies, procedures, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Design community and resident menus, including events, with nutritional considerations.
• Perform other duties including culinary innovation and community engagement.
