Job summary

The Goodman Group, LLC is seeking a Culinary Assistant to support dietary functions and help create a home-like environment for residents. You will serve meals, maintain cleanliness, and assist with dining services under established policies in a care-focused setting.

Responsibilities include preparing meals, ensuring safety standards, assisting with set-up and service, and collaborating with staff to deliver high-quality Platinum Service to residents, guests, and team members.

Qualifications

• Ability to make independent decisions following policies.
• Communicate tactfully with residents, families, and staff.
• Comfortable working with elderly and emotionally upset individuals.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals palatable and attractively, following portion controls.
• Provide Platinum Service to residents, guests and staff.
• Prepare food in line with sanitary regulations and internal policies.
• Assist in daily and scheduled cleaning duties.
• Set up meal trays, food carts and the dining room as directed.
• Distribute and collect menus as needed.
• Prepare food for upcoming meals and set up menus.
• Assist with bussing tables during and after meals.
• Check meal trays for accuracy before distribution.
• Ensure equipment and utensils accompany resident meals.
• Deliver food carts and trays to designated areas.
• Assist with catering/buffet setup and refills.
• Prepare and deliver snacks as instructed.
• Ensure supplies for next meals are ready.
• Assist with additional food preparation as requested.
• Maintain a clean work area and kitchen; sweep/mop as needed.
• Support dining area and backroom kitchen cleanliness.
