Job summary

Performance Foodservice, a PFG broadline distributor, is seeking a customer-focused sales consultant to build loyalty through a one-on-one, consultative approach, redesign menus, train staff, and promote merchandising programs.

You will partner with independent restaurants and other customers to increase brand sales, manage on-site lunch programs where applicable, and contribute to profitable promotions and events.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 3 years of food service experience.
• 4-6 years culinary arts, hotel restaurant and/or food service experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as business consultant for customers in an effort to build customer loyalty and promote sales.
• Mentor, lead and teach food concepts to others; conduct in-house training seminars; write training materials for customers.
• Design customer menus; develop new ideas for customers; cook for special customer events.
• Provide consultative services that develop long-term business relationships; interact with customers and vendors in a timely manner.
• Evaluate food and labor costs savings through observation.
• Evaluate customer service through observations.
• Increase expertise of cooking related activities and ideas.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Bachelors: Culinary Arts, Hotel/Restaurant Management or related area
