Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a Culinary Activity Sponsor at Proviso East High School in Maywood, IL to organize, supervise, and promote a student club in alignment with district goals.

The sponsor serves as mentor and liaison, providing leadership and enforcing academic eligibility while managing events, budgets, and communications. This is a stipend, non-tenure, extra-duty assignment supported by enrollment and funding.

Responsibilities

• Provide active supervision for all club activities, ensuring safety and policy compliance.
• Obtain approvals for off-campus activities and manage consent forms/transportation.
• Act as mandated reporter under state law and complete required training.
• Define expectations and provide constructive feedback to support student development.
• Guide students in planning inclusive, meaningful activities aligned with the club's mission.
• Coordinate logistics and facility usage with school personnel.
• Use feedback data to improve program quality and outcomes.
• Promote student involvement through positive interactions.
