Job summary

HHS is hiring a cashier for the Summit Health Care cafeteria. You will operate the register, provide excellent service, and keep a clean, organized dining area for fast-paced service in a hospital setting.

Roles include day/evening/night shifts, wage $17.00 per hour, with full-time and part-time options. Applicants must pass background checks and be eligible to work in the U.S., with healthcare facilities often requiring vaccination or exemptions.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
• Must practice good personal hygiene and be neatly groomed in a uniform.
• Preferred: Culinary experience (cook, commercial kitchen, fast food, hotel operations, healthcare).

Responsibilities

• Cater to all customer needs and treat every customer with respect, friendliness, and a smile
• Balance the cash drawer and discuss discrepancies with management
• Stock and monitor supply levels of condiments, utensils, and grab-and-go items
• Monitor temperatures for the tray line and maintain temperature logs
• Keep the cafeteria clean and organized at all times, including emptying trash cans
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, and spot clean to maintain floor and high-traffic areas
• Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently

Job Description

We’re looking for friendly, compassionate, team players to join our culinary team!
Work the register in the hospital cafeteria and provide excellent service to all guests. Maintain a clean and organized environment to ensure that food is presented properly and the cafe is ready for service in a timely manner.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged standing and walking continuously, pushing dish racks, frequent stooping, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds
