Job Overview

Watercrest Richmond is seeking a Cook/Culinary Associate to join our Culinary team. Bring your talents to provide a Watercrest Culinary Experience, offering a variety of quality, fine dining recipes that delight our residents, associates, and guests.

Essential Job Functions
  • Lead with servant leadership in all decision-making processes.
  • Prepare, serve, and clean up meals following nutritional guidelines, regulations, and resident diets.
  • Properly use all cooking appliances.
  • Assist with maintaining emergency food supplies.
  • Communicate effectively with culinary vendors.
  • Be present in the dining room to ensure resident satisfaction.
  • Assist residents with adaptive equipment as needed.
  • Present food in an attractive, gracious, and timely manner.
  • Store dishes, utensils, and cookware properly.
  • Pre-prep meals for later in the day, week, or special events.
  • Report equipment and supply needs to the Executive Chef.
  • Provide high-level culinary customer service, promoting a restaurant-style dining atmosphere.
  • Maintain a safe, sanitary, clean, and organized kitchen area.
  • Wear company uniform and be resident-ready at all times.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • SERV Safe certification (required).
  • Minimum of two (2) years of professional food service experience.
  • Culinary apprenticeship or training preferred.
Additional Requirements
  • Availability for PT, AM/PM shifts, including weekends and holidays.
