Job summary

Ebenezer Senior Care & Living is seeking a Culinary Assistant to join the Willows Bend dining team in Fridley, MN. You will help with dining room and to-go meal service for residents, following schedules and safety standards to ensure a positive dining experience.

The role is part-time with an evening shift from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM, totaling 28 hours every two weeks. The position includes every other weekend and holiday rotation, with opportunities to learn the EMenu system and provide

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of prior experience required.
• High School Diploma preferred.
• 1 year of prior experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves meals and ensures that the dining area is clean and inviting.
• Follows meal serving schedule and procedures.
• Offers resident meal choices and meets resident’s specific dietary needs.
• Uses proper safety and sanitation techniques.
• Follows dining room cleaning schedule and procedures.
• Follow proper procedures for dining room set-up.
• Follows proper work flow to stay on task.
• Learns and becomes proficient with EMenu System and restaurant style service.
• Ensures all dishes (including flatware, drinkware, etc.) are washed, sanitized, and put away before end of shift.
• Promotes and encourages positive resident relations and satisfaction.
• Welcomes residents and initiates conversation.
• Accommodates resident requests such as requests for food substitution, change in seating, etc.
• Listens to any complaints and responds appropriately.
