Fairview Health Services’ Riley Crossing senior living community in Chanhassen, MN seeks a Culinary Assistant to handle dining room and to-go meal service for residents. Schedule includes 6 hours every two weeks, part-time, with every other Saturday and Sunday 4:00pm–7:00pm.

The role focuses on serving meals, maintaining a clean dining area, accommodating dietary needs, and supporting resident satisfaction through friendly interactions and efficient service.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of experience in food service.

Job Overview

Riley Crossing senior living community located in Chanhassen, MN near Hwy 101 and County Road 212. Opened in 2019, it hosts 134 units of Independent, Assisted Living, Enhanced and Memory Care in total. This location also offers on-site intergenerational child care and interactive programming with our seniors.

The Culinary Assistant is responsible for dining room and to go meal service to residents.

Schedule includes;

• 6 hours every two weeks ; Part Time
• Every other Saturday & Sunday 4:00pm-7:00pm

Responsibilities

• Serves meals and ensures that the dining area is clean and inviting:
  • Follows meal serving schedule and procedures.
  • Offers resident meal choices and meets resident’s specific dietary needs.
  • Uses proper safety and sanitation techniques.
  • Follows dining room cleaning schedule and procedures.
  • Follow proper procedures for dining room set-up.
  • Follows proper work flow to stay on task.
  • Learns and becomes proficient with EMenu System and restaurant style service.
  • Ensures all dishes (including flatware, drinkware, etc.) are washed, sanitized, and put away before end of shift.
• Promotes and encourages positive resident relations and satisfaction:
  • Welcomes residents and initiates conversation.
  • Accommodates resident requests such as requests for food substitution, change in seating, etc.
  • Listens to any complaints and responds appropriately. Refers issues to Executive Director and Culinary Director as appropriate.
