A senior living community is seeking a part-time Culinary Assistant in Baxter, MN. The role involves serving meals, maintaining a clean dining area, and ensuring residents' dietary needs are met. Candidates should have less than a year of experience, with a High School Diploma preferred. Job Overview

Northern Lakes Senior Living has a positive and family‑like culture in a beautiful setting, located at 8186 Excelsior Road in Baxter, MN (Brainerd). Our care community hosts Assisted and Memory Care services for a total of 68 units. The Culinary Assistant is responsible for dining room and to‑go meal service to residents.

This nutrition services schedule includes;

• 24 hours every two weeks; part‑time
• 4pm-7pm Shift
• Includes every other weekend & holiday rotation

Responsibilities

• Serves meals and ensures that the dining area is clean and inviting.
• Follows meal serving schedule and procedures.
• Offers resident meal choices and meets resident’s specific dietary needs.
• Uses proper safety and sanitation techniques.
• Follows dining room cleaning schedule and procedures.
• Follow proper procedures for dining room set‑up.
• Follows proper work flow to stay on task.
• Learns and becomes proficient with EMenu System and restaurant‑style service.
• Ensures all dishes (including flatware, drinkware, etc.) are washed, sanitized, and put away before end of shift.
• Promotes and encourages positive resident relations and satisfaction.
• Welcomes residents and initiates conversation.
• Accommodates resident requests such as requests for food substitution, change in seating, etc.
• Listens to any complaints and responds appropriately. Refers issues to Executive Director and Culinary Director as appropriate.

Required Qualifications

• Less than 1 year experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 1 year experience.
