Aramark is seeking a Cook in California to bring recipes to life, explore cuisines, and uphold safety standards. You will prep, cook, and plate in a fast-paced environment while embracing creativity and quality ingredients.

The role emphasizes following production guidelines, maintaining sanitation, and delivering friendly guest service. A background in cooking and willingness to obtain food safety certification are required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation, cooking methods, and safety regulations.
• Must be able to acquire food safety certification.
• Demonstrate basic math and counting skills.
• Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsabilités

• Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes.
• Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming and peeling.
• Safely use a variety of utensils including knives.
• Operate ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bake, roast, broil, steam and use various cooking methods.
• Arrange, garnish and portion food per guidelines.
• Store food properly following safety policies.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor.
• Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure security of company assets.
