Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Cook to bring recipes to life in a fast-paced environment. You’ll work with fresh ingredients, explore different cuisines, and use a range of cooking methods while following production guidelines and safety procedures.

This role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and attention to detail as you set up stations, measure ingredients, and maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation for guests and clients.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role.
• Knowledge of basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations.
• Must be able to acquire food safety certification.
• Demonstrate basic math and counting skills.
• Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Essential functions and responsibilities may vary based on location.
• Cooks and prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and recipes.
• Sets up workstation with ingredients and equipment.
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, cutting, and peeling.
• Safely uses knives and other utensils.
• Operates ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, and other equipment.
• Bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses various cooking methods.
• Arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to guidelines.
• Stores food per food safety policies and procedures.
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor toward guests and coworkers.
• Adheres to safety policies and procedures including food safety and sanitation.
• Ensures security of company assets.
