Job summary

American Senior Communities is seeking a Culinary Aide for full-time day shifts to help ensure residents receive safe, nutritious and delicious meals. You will assist with meal prep and service, and help maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen and dining area.

You will partner with culinary leaders to meet resident needs, help with meal portions according to menus and diets, set up trays for service, and support the service staff with dishwashing and cleanup.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Certification in Sanitation/Safe Food Handling.
• Required: Commitment to customer service.
• Required: Willingness to perform routine tasks and effectively work alongside culinary team and leaders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with culinary leaders to best meet the needs of residents to provide a positive dining experience.
• Assist in the preparation and portions of meal items according to the menu and resident diet requirements.
• Set up trays and carts in preparation for service to residents.
• Work with service staff to collect soiled trays and wash dishes.
• Cleans equipment as needed, maintaining a clean and sanitary workplace.
