The Pines of DeKalb is seeking a Culinary Aide to assist with meal prep, service, and maintaining a clean kitchen, ensuring residents receive safe, nutritious, and delicious meals. You will work closely with culinary leaders to meet dietary needs and support a positive dining experience.

This full-time role emphasizes teamwork, willingness to perform routine tasks, and a commitment to customer service, with opportunities for growth through preceptors, mentorship, and education partnerships.

Qualifications

• Certification in Sanitation/Safe Food Handling is preferred.
• Prior restaurant server experience is preferred.
• Commitment to customer service is required.
• Willingness to perform routine tasks and work with the culinary team and leaders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with culinary leaders to meet residents' dining needs and provide a positive dining experience.
• Assist in meal preparation and portions according to the menu and diet requirements.
• Set up trays and carts in preparation for service to residents.
• Work with service staff to collect soiled trays and wash dishes.
• Clean equipment and maintain a sanitary workplace.
