Job summary

Koelsch Communities in Glen Ellyn, IL is seeking a personable Culinary Aide to join our memory care dining team. This part-time role supports meal service, bussing, and kitchen cleanliness, with shifts 9AM–6PM Fri–Mon and hourly pay between $16 and $17.

You’ll work closely with residents to provide friendly, attentive service, adhere to safety and sanitation standards, and assist with special events and daily dining operations.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills required.
• Food handler's card required.
• Basic math skills required.
• Ability to lift 15 pounds.
• Must be drug free and submit to drug screening on hire and routinely.
• Must pass a criminal background check on hire and as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dining room tables and ensure dining room cleanliness.
• Protect establishment and residents by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
• Assist residents in selecting food and beverages by presenting menu and specials.
• Bus dirty dishes and refill residents’ beverages as needed.
• Interact with residents in a courteous, empathetic, and cooperative manner.
• Adhere to grooming and presentation standards; maintain clean uniform at all times.
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor.
• Assist with special events as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

You enjoy providing outstanding customer service to residents. This role provides meal service, buses tables, and cleans kitchen and dining areas.
