Job summary

Summit City Nursing and Rehabilitation seeks a Culinary Aide on a PRN basis to support meal prep and service for residents in Fort Wayne, IN. You will help maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen and dining area while assisting with meals and trays.

Responsibilities include portioning according to diet needs, collaborating with culinary leaders, and helping the service staff with tray setup and dishwashing. Prior experience is valued; certifications in sanitation are a plus.

Qualifications

• Sanitation/Safe Food Handling certification preferred.
• Commitment to customer service.
• Willingness to perform routine tasks and work with culinary team and leaders.

Responsibilities

• Assist in meal preparation and portions according to the menu and resident diets.
• Set up trays and carts for service to residents.
• Work with service staff to collect soiled trays and wash dishes.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workplace, including equipment.
• Partner with culinary leaders to meet residents' dining needs.
